Westmoreland County will be home of the Pennsylvania Little League Softball 11U champion in 2019.

That’s because Yough punched its ticket to the title game 6 p.m. Tuesday against defending champion West Point.

Yough needed four runs in the top of the seventh inning and held on to edge Loyalsock Township, 8-7, in extra innings.

It was the second time in the tournament Yough has beaten Loyalsock Township, which is near Williamsport. Yough won the first meeting, 6-1.

Sidney Bergman pitched a complete game for Yough.

Bergman helped her cause with a triple and single. She drove in two runs. Kylee Fisher had two hits, including a double, and Kylee Odelli had two hits.

Yough rallied from a 4-1 deficit after three innings and tied the score with two runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth.

Kennedy homered, and Alena Barone for four hits for Loyalsock Township.

West Point defeated Yough on Sunday, 19-3. West Point has outscored its two opponents, 30-4.
