WWE champion Brock Lesnar makes his entrance March 29, 2015, at Wrestlemania XXXI in Santa Clara, Calif.

WrestleMania 36 is going to have a much different feel now.

WWE announced Monday that its premier event of the year would now take place at the Performance Center in Orlando in front of no fans because of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania,” the company said in a statement.

Rob Higgins, executive director of Tampa Bay Sports Comission, commended WWE on the decision.
