The Washington Capitals set the partying precedent for D.C. world champions.

You might remember Stanley Cup keg stands and swimming in fountains.

The Nationals did their part to live up to that Sunday afternoon.

Four days after taking home the franchise’s first World Series title, members of the Nationals brought the championship trophy to Capital One Arena on Sunday, riding the Zamboni and partaking in some post-game on-ice antics.

The Capitals and NBC Sports Washington chronicled the day on their Twitter pages, including the Nationals in “various stages of undress” and Evgeny Kuznetsov throwing some shade.

After the game, the players hit the ice, with some Capitals players joining them.

We think it’s fair to request one thing from the Nationals: Stick to baseball, boys.
