For the second consecutive week, Pitt baseball canceled its three-game weekend series Monday due to the team remaining in covid-19 protocol. The Panthers were scheduled to play Northern Kentucky in nonconference games Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Charles L. Cost Field.

Pitt’s three-game series last weekend at No. 5 Louisville also was canceled.

The most recent cancellation surfaced after the Panthers (20-11, 14-10 ACC) had won seven of their previous eight games and risen to No. 14 in the Baseball America national rankings.

Pitt’s next scheduled game is May 5 at West Virginia, followed by weekend home series against Boston College (May 7-9) and N.C. State (May 14-16), a nonconference home game against Akron on May 18 and a series at Wake Forest (May 20-22).
