Lernerville Speedway officials announced Friday that because of overnight rain that continued into the morning they have canceled the Fab4 racing schedule for Friday evening.

In addition to the safety concerns for the competitors, the pit area and spectator parking lots were determined to be too wet to be used safely, officials said.

It is the second straight week that wet weather has canceled the Friday racing schedule at the Sarver track,

Lernerville will give it a go again next Friday for “The Lernerville Grand” as part of the Fab 4 racing schedule.

The 410 Sprint Cars will compete for a $1,000 cash bonus in addition to the posted prize money.

The event will mark the 1,000th Sprint Car race in Lernerville history.

A full program will be featured, including Late Models, Big Block Modifieds and Pro Stock with a start time of 7:30 p.m.

Tickets from the opening night rain out, April 16, still will be honored for admission next Friday.
