Columnists Tim Benz and Mark Madden talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ tie with the Detroit Lions on Sunday on this edition of “Unfiltered” on TribLIVE’s Facebook page.

While Steelers running back Najee Harris didn’t realize teams could tie in the NFL, Benz says that that’s OK, since most Steelers fans are considering it loss anyway.

The 16-16 final score was indicative of a sloppy game with both teams not able to score in the extra quarter.

Madden says he’s also considering it a loss, and says that if Harris didn’t realize teams could tie, it shows that the Steelers are not getting players prepped and ready for games.

“Look at all the fumbles, missed tackles and penalties,” says Madden. “Let’s stop pretending this is a well-coached team, because it is not and hasn’t been for some time. They flunk football 101 over and over again. And there is no accountability for mistakes.”

Madden piles on, “And let’s stop pretending the Steelers are any good — because they are not.”

The guys discuss the status of the several injured Steelers players as well as the difficult games coming up.

They also discuss the Penguins’ recent losses and injuries and Madden’s new podcast project with Ric Flair, as well as answer viewers comments and questions.
