U mad, bro?: Cam Heyward, Keeanu Benton, Broderick Jones take heat from Steelers fans even after win

After the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Jets, 34-32, on Sunday, quarterback Aaron Rodgers summed up the victory perfectly.

“The best part about Week 1 victories like this is there’s so much correctable tape,” Rodgers said. “It’s like a coach’s dream journal. To win, but also to have some correctable moments? I’m sure all the coaches are going to be watching the film on the way back and not celebrating and remembering.”

Amen, Aaron. Amen.

Because that’s the perfect formula for “U mad, bro?” too.

Not just for Week 1. Any week.

But, right out of the gates to begin the season? Indeed. Manna from heaven.

Let’s start with Kevin. He gets the “U mad, bro?” concept.

“The team is still running the same defense that every other team has already figured out how to beat. Changes on the coaching staff are needed but the entire organization has become complacent with never had a losing season mantra and the changes will never be made. On the bright side, this sure gives you lots of material for ‘U Mad Bro.’

You know what they say, Kevin. I’m universally renowned as Mr. Brightside.

Michael takes a shot at Cam Heyward and his underwhelming first game following his equally underwhelming hold-in.

“Tired and rusty is not the right word, maybe heavy, not in fighting shape, Rocky Balboa. He just hadn’t been in intense competing form yet. Hoping he’ll come around. Chase some chickens around the yard.

Based on what Breece Hall and Justin Fields just did, those chickens have nothing to worry about.

This guy replied to my tweet about the Steelers’ red zone defense on Justin Fields’ fourth-quarter QB run.

The kicker and the quarterback. That’s who.

While the Jets were racking up 182 rushing yards in the season opener, I took a shot at the Steelers’ alleged “historic” defense.

Someone who preemptively blocked me before I got in my mentions (@VThunder6969) sent this reply.

“One player says it, so therefore the entire team is saying it nonstop. Never change, brother.

Sir, it wasn’t “one player. The flippin’ head coach himself said it on the franchise’s flagship radio station.

But don’t worry. I won’t change. You probably should, though.

Shark Bite thinks someone besides just Broderick Jones should be taking heat in the Steelers’ trenches.

“Broderick Jones has been a problem from day 1 & it has been obvious. But Keeanu Benton has had 3 years of playing horrible & it’s gone under the radar until recently. But now we’ve seen enough to know he needs to be out of the starting lineup when Harmon is healthy.

That’s probably because when Benton is beaten, an elderly quarterback isn’t getting crushed behind him as a result of the play.

But I still don’t know that you’re right. My guess is Isaiahh Loudermilk loses playing time before Benton does once Harmon gets healthy.

Your suggestion will likely come into play more readily once they trust Yahya Black is ready to take more reps.

Finally, Rich is mad that he didn’t watch the end of the “Sunday Night Football game between the Ravens and Bills.

Indeed, Rich.

Not to be a spoiler, but here are a few other things you may have missed:

• Darth Vader is Luke’s father.

• Bruce Willis was dead the whole time.

• Ross and Rachel wind up together.

• Rosebud is a sled.
