Trio of guards sign with Robert Morris
Robert Morris men’s basketball coach Andy Toole on Thursday announced the signing of three guards to national letters of intent.
The trio — Enoch Cheeks, Kam Farris and Trayden Williams — will be part of the 2020-21 recruiting class.
“We’re excited to sign three student-athletes the caliber of Enoch, Kam and Trayden,” Toole said. “Each of them brings a unique skill set to our program, whether it’s athleticism, toughness or the ability to handle and score the basketball. We’re looking forward to the impact they make on our program.”
Checks, a 6-foot-3 guard from Providence, R.I., and Putnam Science Academy, averaged 10.4 points for Expression Elite in the Elite Youth Basketball League and also is known as a tenacious defender.
Farris is a 6-3 guard for Burlington, Vt., and Redemption Christian Academy. He played for WrightWay Skills on the AAU circuit.
Williams is from Charlotte, N.C. and North Mecklenburg High School. He is a 6-2 guard who averaged 10.7 points and 6.3 assists as a junior.
