Rock Steelers Style 2019: Take The Stage” is Friday at Stage AE on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

The players will put aside the black and gold uniforms and opt to wear clothing that suits their sense of style.

The Style Lounge opens at 6 p.m. Showtime is 8 p.m.

The evening is presented by Neighborhood Ford Store, Peoples Gas, PNC Bank, UPMC and EMBRACE Pittsburgh.

Steelers players and their families will be modeling clothing from Kiya Tomlin Work/Shop, David Alan Clothing, FOCO, Macy’s, MODA Pittsburgh, Little’s Shoes, Outerstuff, Steelers Pro Shop, Steve Madden, TUMI, Roberta Weissburg Leathers, Four Winds Gallery, and MAXALTO.

“Fans get to see another side of us at the fashion show,” said cornerback Joe Haden, who is an honorary co-captain with running back James Conner. “They know us by our numbers, but now they will know us by our style.”

Haden, who admits he is “a shoe guy,” said he likes to get dressed up. He had his own footwear line. Being able to don his finest and walk the runway with his wife Sarah and children Joey, 3, and Jett, 8 months, adds to the fun of the evening, he said. Haden, who lives in California in the offseason, likes to shop at Maxfield in Los Angeles and Barneys in Beverly Hills.

Linebacker Vince Williams joked he has no fashion sense.

“I am a caveman,” he said as he pointed to a pair of Nike sweat pants and hoodie. “This is what I wear. I am not too good at matching colors.”

Then the 6-foot-1, 223-pound linebacker added that he prefers slim-fitting suits and tight shirts. His favorite designers are Ralph Lauren and Versace.

“They have so much of my money,” said Williams, who added that Haden is one of his most fashionable teammates and that he has “swag.”

This event is pretty cool for fans, said safety Terrell Edmunds.

“My sense of style depends on the occasion,” he said. “I have street wear, classic looks and formal attire. Fashion is great because it shows your identity. It’s your image. I am ready to walk the runway.”

What will he wear?

“I can’t tell you,” he said. “You will have to come to the show and see for yourself.”

Co-chaired by Greta and Art Rooney II and Kiya and Mike Tomlin, the show is the team’s largest annual fundraiser. All proceeds benefit the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and the Cancer Caring Center.

Along with the Taste of the Steelers event, it has raised more than $5 million since its inception.

Kiya Tomlin, who has her own boutique, design studio and work shop in Etna, created a line for the show. She and David Alan Clothing, based in Mt. Washington, have been involved in several fashion events.

Alan designed two looks —one a twist on the traditional tuxedo, and a second that will be unveiled at the show — for one of the hosts, WDVE’s Bill Crawford.

“It will be pretty cool,” Alan said.

Tickets are $200-$500
