Steelers sign former LSU WR Jaray Jenkins, cut CB Luq Barcoo
The Pittsburgh Steelers still might not know who their No. 2 receiver is this season, but they continue to add candidates to who might be part of the wide receivers corps.
Jaray Jenkins signed with the Steelers on Monday. A 6-foot-2, 204-pound former LSU receiver, Jenkins signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent last year and spent training camp with that club. He had two catches for 32 yards over two preseason games.
Jenkins had six touchdown receptions during each of his two final seasons of college.

Jenkins becomes one of 12 wide receivers on the 90-man summer roster.
Jenkins takes the roster spot of cornerback Luq Barcoo, who was waived/injured. Signed after a season in the XFL during spring 2023, Barcoo spent the entirety of the summer and training camp with the Steelers. He spent all but two days of the regular season on their practice squad and was quickly signed to a 2024 reserve/future deal after the season ended.
