Steelers sign draft picks Mason McCormick, Logan Lee to rookie contracts
Fourth-round selection Mason McCormick and Logan Lee, one of two sixth-round selections, became the first two draft picks to sign rookie contracts with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
McCormick, a guard from South Dakota State, and Lee, a defensive end from Iowa, signed their four-year deals on Friday, the first day of rookie minicamp.
McCormick started 57 consecutive games at South Dakota State and was on a team that won back-to-back FCS national championships.
Lee started 41 games at Iowa and totaled 158 tackles, including 18.5 for loss, and nine sacks in his career.
The Steelers also signed four of the undrafted free agents they added in the aftermath of the draft. They are Mississippi and UCF quarterback John Rhys Plumlee, West Virginia cornerback Beanie Bishop, Georgia running back Daijun Edwards and Michigan State linebacker Jacoby Windmon.
