The Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday played host to a pair of draft prospects expected to be taken in the middle rounds, Florida State defensive lineman Joshua Farmer and Virginia Tech running back Bhayshul Tuten.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound Farmer is part of what is considered a strong incoming class of defensive tackles. A starter the past two seasons for Florida State who was honored as second-team ACC in 2023, Farmer totaled nine sacks and 15 tackles for loss the past two seasons.

The Steelers are expected to almost assuredly select at least one – and perhaps two – defensive linemen in the April 24-26 draft.

Running back is another position they are likely to address, and in Tuten (5-9, 206) they are eyeing a player who was second-team all-ACC last season. After beginning his college career at North Carolina A&T, Tuten over the past two seasons amassed 1,922 yards and 25 touchdowns rushing in addition to four receiving touchdowns and two more on kickoff returns.

Tuten had by far the fastest time among running backs in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine (4.32 seconds). Tuten also had the best combine showing at his position in the vertical jump (40.5 inches) and was tied for the second-best among running backs at the broad jump (10 feet, 10 inches).

Each team is allowed 30 official visits, with exemptions made for local prospects.
