He was the 10th overall pick, and the seventh defensive player selected in last month’s NFL draft. But at least one sportsbook likes Devin Bush a little better than that.
Caesars Palace listed the Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker at +700 (7-to-1) betting odds to win the NFL defensive rookie of the year award for the 2019 season.

The favorites, per Caesars, are the San Francisco 49ers’ Nick Bosa and the New York Jets’ Quinnen Williams, each of whom is +400. The player taken one spot ahead of Bush, defensive tackle Ed Oliver to the Buffalo Bills, is +550.
Bosa and Williams were the first two defensive players selected (Nos. 2-3 overall). Bush, interestingly, has better odds to win the defensive rookie of the year than three defensive players taken ahead of him: linebacker Devin White (No. 5 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), lineman Clelin Ferrell (No. 4 to the Oakland Raiders) and lineman Josh Allen (No. 7 to the Jacksonville Jaguars).
Hall of Famers Joe Greene and Jack Lambert are two of the three previous Steelers defensive rookie of the year award winners. The most recent such honoree was Kendrell Bell in 2001.
