Jalen Ramsey is in uniform and active for Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers game against the Cleveland Browns. The versatile defensive back missed the first two practices of the week because of a hamstring injury suffered during the Steelers’ most recent game Sept. 28 in Dublin.

Acquired in a June 30 trade, Ramsey’s clean bill of health combined with cornerback Joey Porter Jr.’s return Sunday from a three-game absence because of a hamstring injury gave the Steelers a full complement of defensive backs for a game for the first time since the first half of the season opener.

In part as a result, veteran safety Chuck Clark was deemed as a gameday inactive Sunday. The Steelers’ other healthy scratches were veteran offensive lineman Andrus Peat, defensive tackle Logan Lee and edge defender DeMarvin Leal.

It had been announced Friday that receiver Calvin Austin III would miss Sunday’s game because of a shoulder injury suffered during the pre-bye week win against the Minnesota Vikings. To compensate, the Steelers elevated rookie receiver Ke’Shawn Williams from the practice squad. Undrafted out of Indiana, Williams also has punt-return capability — a necessity because that is a role Austin typically fills.

The Steelers had also previously announced that outside linebacker Alex Highsmith would return to game action Sunday after missing two games because of a high ankle sprain.

The Browns’ announced inactives were defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. (knee), cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse, running back Raheim Sanders and offensive linemen Thayer Munford Jr., Zak Zinter and Cornelius Lucas.
