The Steelers celebrate with Chris Boswell after he kicked a 59-yard field goal against the Jets.

For the first time since October, the Pittsburgh Steelers will have Chris Boswell back as their kicker.

Boswell was activated from injured reserve Saturday and will kick for the Steelers when they face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium.

Boswell hasn’t kicked since Oct. 23 because of a groin injury. The Steelers used rookie Nick Sciba for one game before turning to the more experienced Matthew Wright for the next four. Wright was cut Saturday to make room for Boswell on the 53-man roster.

In Boswell’s absence, Wright made 12 of 14 field-goal attempts, including his final 10 in a row. Wright’s four field goals were the difference in the Steelers’ 19-16 victory at Atlanta last weekend.

Boswell, who signed a contract extension over the summer, has made 12 of 16 field-goal tries in seven games this season. He also has converted all nine extra points.

Boswell is in his eighth season with the Steelers, who take a 5-7 record into the game against the 8-4 Ravens.
