After leading her moh-BEEL!USA team to a championship this season, Maddy Grimm was recognized with a postseason accolade in the American Softball Association.

The burgeoning, four-team professional league announced its all-ASBA players and Grimm was a clear first-team selection.

A third baseman who hails from Ligonier Valley and Kent State, Grimm is in the running for league MVP honors, which will be announced on Aug. 13.

Grimm hit .424 and led the ASBA in home runs (19), total bases (100), hits (36) and runs (30). She drove in 45 in 25 games for moh-BEEL!USA (19-7).

Last year, Grimm was a first-team pick as a designated hitter. She was an assistant coach at Pitt last year.
