Northern Kentucky received 18 first-place votes and Wright State 12.

The Colonials finished last season 16-17 and were 1-1 in the Horizon League tournament. RMU is led by guards Jackson Last and Josh Corbin and forward Stephaun Walker.

Green Bay was a unanimous pick in the women’s poll.

Cleveland State, Youngstown State, Purdue-Fort Wayne and Northern Kentucky rounded out the top five.

RMU finished 11-19 overall and 5-15 in the conference last season, losing its opener in the conference tournament.

The Colonials are led by junior guards Simone Morris, Rebecca Dwomoh and Alejandra Mastral. They have eight new faces on the roster.
