President Trump thinks the NFL season should start on time in September, according to an ESPN report.

The president made the claim on a conference call Saturday with 12 commissioners from pro sports leagues when discussing the potential return of sports amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He also said he hopes to have fans back in stadiums and arenas by August and September, according to the report.

The call was said to have included representatives from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, PGA Tour, UFC, WWE, among others.
