The Pittsburgh Steelers are keeping one of their own from leaving in free agency.
Nose tackle Montravius Adams agreed to a two-year deal to return to the Steelers, ESPN reported Thursday night. He became an unrestricted free agent Wednesday.
Adams, 28, has spent two-plus seasons with the Steelers, joining them late in the 2021 season when he was signed after being waived by the New Orleans Saints.
A situational defender along the line, Adams played 48% of the defensive snaps last year when he appeared in 13 games, starting eight. He had one pass breakup, one forced fumble and 24 tackles. He shared time at nose tackle last year with rookie second-round pick Keeanu Benton.
In 35 career games with the Steelers, Adams has made eight starts.
