Pitt women’s volleyball beats rival Louisville, clinches share of ACC title

Olivia Babcock recorded a team-high 23 kills as the top-ranked Pitt women’s volleyball team defeated No. 3 Louisville, 3-1, Wednesday at the KFC Yum Center to clinch at least a share of the ACC championship.
Set scores were 25-23, 18-25, 25-20, 25-16.
The Panthers (28-1, 18-1) can win the league outright with a victory in the regular-season finale against Georgia Tech on Saturday.
Pitt has won five straight matches against Louisville (25-4, 17-2) dating to last season. The previous four matches went five sets.
Torrey Stafford added 17 kills for the Panthers. Bre Kelley had a team-high seven blocks to go with eight kills. Rachel Fairbanks tied a season-high with 47 assists.
