Pitt’s Jaden Bradley pulls in a fourth-quarter touchdown pass against Georgia Tech’s LaMiles Brooks Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 at Acrisure Stadium.

Pitt sophomore wide receiver Jaden Bradley, who caught two touchdown passes in the loss to Georgia Tech, announced Monday on Twitter his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Bradley, who was in the starting lineup in Pitt’s most recent game against Virginia Tech, is fifth on the team with 10 receptions for 130 yards. He led all Pitt pass catchers with nine targets and five catches for 66 yards in the Virginia Tech game. As a freshman reserve last year, Bradley recorded nine catches for 129 yards.

A month ago, coach Pat Narduzzi called Bradley “a smart kid” with a “great football IQ.” Coaches saw potential in Bradley and were attempting to get him more involved in the passing game.

“He’s a guy who claims to know all these (wide receiver) positions,” Narduzzi said last month. “He knows them on a piece of paper, but to go out there and execute them fast and with detail, not good enough. We thought he was a guy who could play all three. This week (prior to the Rhode Island game), we said, ‘You’re going to know one and be really good at one.’ “
