Concerns related to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic have compelled Pitt officials to postpone induction of the 13-member Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame 2020 class until 2021, the university announced Monday.

The induction ceremony was scheduled for Friday at Heinz Field.

Members of the class, the third since the Hall of Fame was established in 2018, include football players Craig “Ironhead” Heyward and Bob Peck (both posthumous) and Curtis Martin, football coaches Pop Warner (posthumous) and Jackie Sherrill, gymnast and coach Donna DeMarino Sanft, basketball players Brandin Knight and Jennifer Bruce, track athletes Arnie Sowell and Chantee Earl, baseball player Ken Macha, volleyball player Ann Marie Lucanie and wrestler Pat Santoro.
