The Pitt men’s basketball team will play at Northwestern at 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 9 in the final game of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The game, to be televised on ESPNU, is the 20th meeting between the schools. Northwestern leads the all-time series, 10-9, but Pitt has won the past three meetings, including a 72-59 victory last season in the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off Classic championship game.

The Panthers are 3-3 in ACC/Big Ten Challenge games, after beating Rutgers, 71-60, last year. The ACC has a 12-6-3 advantage in the challenge series.

The ACC/Big Ten Challenge slate starts Dec. 8, with Purdue at Miami, Boston College at Minnesota, North Carolina at Iowa, Ohio State at Notre Dame, Penn State at Virginia Tech, Illinois at Duke and Syracuse at Rutgers. The following day features Maryland at Clemson, Louisville at Wisconsin, NC State at Michigan, Georgia Tech at Nebraska, Michigan State at Virginia, Indiana at Florida State and Pitt-Northwestern in the anchor game.
