Pitt continued its attempt to build a cornerback roster for the future when Davion Pritchard, a three-star prospect from Austintown Fitch in Youngstown, Ohio, tweeted his verbal commitment Sunday night.

Pritchard (6-foot-1, 165 pounds) is the second senior cornerback to reveal his pledge to enroll after Pitt’s official visit weekend. Allen Bryant of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., tweeted his promise to coach Pat Narduzzi on Saturday.

Pitt was one of Pritchard’s 18 scholarship offers, including Boston College, Kentucky and Maryland. The Panthers now have 13 verbal commitments in their class of 2024, good for a national ranking of No. 16 (fourth in the ACC), according to Rivals.com.

Narduzzi and his staff will serve as hosts for two more official visit weekends this month.
