Pitt coach Jeff Capel secured the first verbal commitment from the class of 2020 on Monday when three-star power forward Noah Collier announced on Instagram his plans to enroll next year.

Collier, 6-foot-7, 205 pounds, is the 160th-ranked player and 27th power forward in the U.S., according to 247Sports. He chose Pitt over Clemson and California but also had interest from UConn, Syracuse, Maryland and Xavier.

He attends Westtown School in West Chester.
