Mack, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound three-star prospect from Duncan, S.C., is the third defensive back in Pitt’s Class of 2020. He joins four-star Jahvante Royal of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and three-star Hunter Sellers of College Park, Ga. Mack holds offers from Army, Navy, Air Force, Indiana and 18 other schools.
Pitt has verbal commitments from 17 players, but might not get that many letters of intent Wednesday when the early signing period begins. Wide receiver Jordan Addison of Frederick, Md., recently announced on Twitter he will sign Thursday.

Others could decide to wait until the second period in February, but most recruits across the country sign early.
Also, three-star defensive tackle Timothy Brown of Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) High School was placed on house arrest after he was charged in October with robbery, felony battery and kidnapping. Brown verbally committed to Pitt in June, but it is unclear if he still holds an offer.
