Pitt’s 2022 recruiting class grew to 12 members Sunday night when three-star lineman Bradley Mann announced his verbal commitment to the Panthers.

Mann, a rising senior at the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla., chose Pitt from among 14 scholarship offers, including two of his finalists, Indiana and Louisville, plus Kansas, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

“Just talking to all the coaches, coach Duzz (Pat Narduzzi), coach (Tim) Salem (tight ends coach), just great people over there,” he said while making his announcement on Twitter. “I just felt like it’s a family environment and a place I’d want to be.”

Mann, 6-foot-6, 260 pounds, plays defensive end and tight end for Bolles, but he may start his college career as an offensive lineman. Pitt has two other verbal commits on the offensive line — Ja’Kavion Nonar of Belle Grade, Fla., and Isaiah Montgomery of Virginia Beach, Va. Pitt has two defensive ends in its class, Jimmy Scott of Athol Springs, N.Y., and Sean FitzSimmons of Central Valley.

Pitt’s class is ranked 45th in the nation and ninth in the ACC, according to Rivals.com.
