The Pittsburgh Pirates signed 16-year-old Australian outfielder Solomon Maguire as a non-drafted free agent on Wednesday.

We have officially signed outfielder Solomon Maguire (Sydney, Australia) as a non-drafted free agent.

The 5-foot-11, 168-pound Maguire is a junior at Castle Hill High School in Sydney who bats left-handed and throws right-handed and has good speed, and he’s played on Australia’s 18-and-under team.

Solomon Maguire has represented us at the U12, U15 and U18 World Cup and now he's signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates!
