It wasn’t only the balmy temperatures that made it feel a little like spring this morning.

Pittsburgh Pirates clubhouse staff and workers from Recker Transfer began around 7 a.m. at PNC Park loading equipment and other items onto a truck bound for Bradenton, Fla., for the start of spring training.

The truck is scheduled to arrive there Thursday night and will be unloaded Friday morning.

Pitchers and catchers will report to spring training on Monday and will begin workouts Wednesday. Full-squad workouts will begin Feb. 18.
