INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 59-65) outslugged Omaha (Royals), 17-12. SS Oneil Cruz (.429) smacked a solo home run and was 2 for 3 with an RBI, three walks and four runs scored from the leadoff spot. C Christian Bethancourt was 3 for 5 with two home runs and five RBIs. 3B Rodolfo Castro (.471) was 3 for 5 with three RBIs. 2B Michael Chavis (.271) hit a two-run homer. 1B Hunter Owen (.231) also homered. RHP Osvaldo Bido (11.57) allowed nine runs (6 earned) on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings. RHP Matt Eckelman (3-5, 5.06) picked up the win after allowing one run on two hits with three strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Next: Wednesday vs. Nashville (Brewers), 7:05 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 2-1) edged Bowling Green (Rays), 6-5, in Game 3 and took a 2-1 lead in the best of 5 High-A East Championship series. 2B Nick Gonzales (.167) blasted a two-run home run. LF Lolo Sanchez (.273) and DH Andres Alvarez (.300) also homered. C Blake Sabol was 2 for 4 with an RBI. RHP J.C. Flowers (9.00) allowed five runs on eight hits with 10 strikeouts in five innings of a no-decision. RHP Grant Ford (1-0, 0.00) threw a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win.
