Pirates farm report for June 5, 2022: Dylan Shockley’s walk-off single lifts Curve to victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 26-26) had its game at Omaha (Royals) postponed because of inclement weather. The game will be made up at a later date. The Indians play again at Omaha from Sept. 6-11.

Next: Tuesday vs. Columbus (Guardians), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 25-26) beat Bowie (Orioles), 3-2, on a walk-off single in the 10th inning. C Dylan Shockley (.156) laced the game-winning line drive to deep center field in the bottom of the 10th inning for the win. Shockley was 2 for 4. SS Liover Peguero (.293) also scored on a wild pitch earlier in the 10th inning. LF Andres Alvarez (.276) was 0 for 2 but had an RBI. 3B Jared Triolo (.272) was 2 for 4. RHP Carmen Mlodziski (4.82) tossed four innings in relief, allowing one run on three hits with five strikeouts. RHP Austin Roberts (2-0, 6.00) allowed one unearned run on two hits in one inning of relief to earn the win.

Next: Tuesday at Reading (Phillies), 7 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 22-28) took down Wilmington (Nationals), 4-2. The Grasshoppers scored four runs in the eighth inning to seal the win. CF Sammy Siani (.207) smacked a three-run home run, his fifth of the season. DH Yoyner Fajardo (.330) also had an RBI. RHP Sean Sullivan (4.85) allowed one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in five innings of a no-decision. RHP Cameron Junker (3-1, 3.79) tossed 2/3 innings of scoreless relief with two strikeouts to earn the win.

Next: Tuesday at Winston-Salem (White Sox), 7 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 23-28) edged Lakeland (Tigers), 4-3. CF Rodolfo Nolasco (.209) smacked a three-run homer in the eighth inning to propel Bradenton to victory. 2B Mike Jarvis (.238) and 1B Jase Bowen (.246) also had hits. RHP Justin Meis (3.51), a Bethel Park grad, allowed two runs on five hits with five strikeouts and one walk in five innings in a no-decision. RHP Nick Mears (1-0, 0.00) tossed a clean inning in relief to earn the win. RHP Dante Mendoza (0.98) notched his first save after striking out two batters in the ninth inning.

Next: Tuesday vs. Clearwater (Phillies), 6:30 p.m.
