INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 25-25) was held in check by Omaha (Royals), 4-1. CF Travis Swaggerty (.273) went 2 for 4. DH Bligh Madris (.257) went 2 for 3 with a home run, his fourth. 1B Mason Martin (.233) went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. SS Oneil Cruz (.216) returned after missing two games with an ankle injury and went 0 for 3 with a walk. RHP Cody Bolton (2.78) started and worked five innings, surrendering one run on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. LHP Aaron Fletcher (1-1, 0.82) took the loss giving up two unearned runs on two hits and a walk in an inning.

Next: Friday at Omaha (Royals), 8:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 23-25) scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat Bowie (Orioles), 13-12. 3B Andres Alvarez (.274) went 3 for 5 with five RBIs, including the go-ahead three-run homer, his ninth. C Blake Sabol (.321) went 4 for 5 with a double. DH Aaron Shackelford (.256) went 3 for 5 with two doubles. RF Matt Gorski (.267) went 2 for 4 with a double. RHP JC Flowers (3-3, 3.38) earned the win, giving up one run on one hit in 1.1 innings of relief. LHP Tyler Samaniego (0.00) got the last two outs for his first save.

Next: Friday vs. Bowie (Orioles), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 21-26) squeaked past Wilmington (Nationals), 7-6, in 12 innings. 2B Yoyner Fajardo (.342) went 2 for 3, including the game-winning RBI single. DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.259) went 3 for 5 with a two-run homer, his third. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.382) went 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI. LF Sammy Siani (.208) was 2 for 4 with a double. C Endy Rodriguez (.273) was 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. RHP Cameron Junker (3.93) and LHP Nick Dombkowski (1-0, 1.88) held Wilmington without a hit in extra innings. Junker pitched 2.2 innings. Dombkowski pitched the 12th.

Next: Friday vs. Wilmington (Nationals), 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 21-27) was thumped by Lakeland (Tigers), 9-4. LHP Anthony Solometo (1.29) started and pitched effectively, giving up one run on three hits with four strikeouts in four innings. RHP Carlos Lomeli (2-3, 6.95) came on and recorded one out, giving up three runs on four hits. CF Jase Bowen (.236) went 2 for 4 with a home run, his seventh. LF Luke Brown (.237) went 2 for 4 with a stolen base, his third. SS Deivis Nadal (.316) went 1 for 4, tripled and drove in a run. 2B Mike Jarvis (.239) was 1 for 3 with a doubled and an RBI.
