Pirates farm report for June 1, 2024: Henry Davis hits 7th Triple-A homer in Indy loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 24-30) lost 4-2 to Omaha (Royals). C Henry Davis (.286) went 1 for 3 with his seventh homer. CF Matt Gorski (.276) went 2 for 3 with a run scored. LF Jack Suwinski (.250) went 1 for 4 with an RBI and three strikeouts. 1B Jake Lamb (.323) went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts. LHP Nick Domkowski (1-1, 5.56) started and allowed four runs on six hits and two walks in 4⅓ innings. He gave up three home runs and struck out four. LHP Josh Fleming (5.14) didn’t allow a hit in 2⅔ innings. RHP Connor Sadzeck (3.90) and RHP Brent Honeywell (4.97) each threw a scoreless inning.

Next: Sunday vs. Omaha (Royals), 1:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 16-34) gave up five runs in the ninth inning and four more in the 10th to lose 11-8 to Portland (Red Sox). LHP Anthony Solometo (6.23) started and gave up two runs on three hits and two walks in two innings. RHP Po-Yu Chen (5.16) followed and threw six innings, allowing one run on seven hits with five strikeouts. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (21.00) was touched up for four runs on three hits, including a homer, and a walk in an inning. RHP Darvin Garcia (0-1, 9.00) gave up four runs, one earned, on one hit and three walks in the 10th to take the loss. CF Sammy Siani (.229) went 1 for 4 with two walks, three runs scored, two RBIs and his third stolen base. RF Jase Bowen (.218) went 3 for 6 with a triple and an RBI. LF Dustin Peterson (.208) went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. SS Kervin Pichardo (.233) went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and his second stolen base.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 29-21) lost 4-3 to Asheville (Rockies). DH Termarr Johnson (.203) went 1 for 3 with his fourth home run, a two-run shot, a walk and his seventh stolen base. 1B Josiah Sightler (.156) went 2 for 4 with his third homer. C Geovanny Planchart (.238) went 1 for 2 with a walk. The rest of the Grasshoppers lineup went 0 for 23. RHP Wilber Dotel (5.40) started and gave up two runs on three hits, including two home runs, in three innings. He walked two and struck out five. LHP Dominic Perachi (3-1, 2.10) allowed two runs on five hits and four walks in three innings to take the loss. LHP Cy Nielson (2.01) threw two scoreless innings of relief.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 21-29) was swept by Fort Myers (Twins) in a doubleheader.

In the first game, an 8-3 Bradenton loss, LHP Michael Kennedy (1-3, 4.50) started and gave up five runs on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts in four innings to take the loss. 3B Javier Rivas (.172) went 2 for 2 with his second home run. SS Keiner Delgado (.230) went 1 for 4 with his third homer. RF Shalin Polanco (.166) went 2 for 2 with a walk.

In the second game, a 3-1 Bradenton loss, RHP Khristian Curtis (0-3, 4.93) started and pitched all six innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts. The Marauders managed three hits. C Axiel Plaz (.226) went 1 for 3 with a double. 2B Jeral Toledo (.221) went 1 for 3 with a run scored. CF Sergio Campana (.270) went 0 for 1 with an RBI and his eighth stolen base.
