Pirates farm report for July 30, 2021: Quinn Priester allows 1 hit in 7 innings to lead Greensboro to victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 35-39) won 8-4 at St. Paul (Twins). 1B Colin Moran (.364) smacked an RBI double in his rehab game with the Indians. PH TJ Rivera (.251) was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. 3B Hunter Owen (.223) singled in two runs. CF Anthony Alford (.292) was 1 for 5 with an RBI. SS Cole Tucker (.233) was 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored. LHP Cam Vieaux (1-1, 9.39) allowed four runs on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts over five innings and earned the win.

Next: Saturday at St. Paul (Twins), 8:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 41-32) lost to Harrisburg (Nationals), 8-2. Playing in his third game since being acquired from the Yankees, SS Diego Castillo (.275) smacked a two-run home run in the eighth inning. RF Cal Mitchell (.293) was 2 for 3. DH Brendt Citta (.291) also had a hit. RHP Travis MacGregor (3-4, 5.46) allowed six runs on six hits with three walks and two strikeouts in four innings and took the loss.

Next: Saturday vs. Harrisburg (Nationals), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High A, 47-29) rolled past Winston-Salem (White Sox), 9-1. SS Liover Peguero (.253) was 3 for 5 with three RBIs, including a solo home run. CF Matt Gorski (.207) also hit a solo homer, his 12th of the season. 3B Jared Triolo (.297) was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. 2B Nick Gonzales (.265) was 2 for 5 with an RBI. RHP Quinn Priester (4-3, 3.05) allowed one run and one hit with five strikeouts in seven innings in earning the win.

Next: Saturday vs. Winston-Salem (White Sox), 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low A, 44-31) lost 12-5 to Dunedin (Blue Jays). 1B Alexander Mojica (.223) was 2 for 4 and hit a two-run home run. 2B Yoyner Fajardo (.305) was 2 for 3 with an RBI and walk. C Endy Rodriguez (.278) was 2 for 3 with two runs scored. LHP Logan Hofmann (2.88) allowed two runs on five hits with three strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings in a no-decision. RHP Parker Brahms (1-2, 6.75) took the loss after giving up four runs on one hit with five walks and two strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning.
