Pirates farm report for July 17, 2022: Homers by Matt Fraizer, Jared Triolo lift Curve to win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 41-46) had its series finale against Columbus (Guardians) postponed because of inclement weather. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sept. 27, at Huntington Park.

Next: Friday vs. St. Paul (Twins), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 45-42) defeated Richmond (Giants), 8-3. RF Matt Fraizer (.231) and 3B Jared Triolo (.267) each blasted two-run homers. LF Fabricio Macias (.357) was 2 for 3 with three RBIs. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (3-5, 4.45) allowed two runs on four hits with a walk and four strikeouts in five innings to earn the win.

Next: Friday at Harrisburg (Nationals), 7 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 36-49) lost 5-1 to Brooklyn (Mets). RF Luke Brown (.214) was 2 for 3 with two doubles and an RBI. SS Dariel Lopez (.268) and DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.261) had the only other hits for Greensboro. RHP Ricky DeVito (2-3, 4.68) took the loss after allowing two runs on one hit with two walks and three strikeouts in an inning of relief.

Next: Friday vs. Hickory (Rangers), 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 43-43) split a doubleheader against Jupiter (Marlins). In a makeup of a game postponed from July 14 and 16, Bradenton lost 5-3. CF Jase Bowen (.269) was 1 for 2 with an RBI and two walks. SS Maikol Escotto (.283) was 1 for 3 with an RBI, and DH Bubba Chandler (.222) also had an RBI. LHP Luis Peralta (6.42) started and allowed two runs on four hits with a walk and five strikeouts in four innings. RHP Carlos Campos (0-1, 0.00) took the loss after allowing an unearned run on two hits with four strikeouts in two innings of relief.

In the other game, Bradenton won 1-0 on a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh. 1B Juan Jerez (.207) tripled, and Chandler (.333) knocked him in with a sacrifice fly. RHP Carlos Jimenez (3.40) tossed five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks with five strikeouts. RHP Johan Montero (3-0, 4.08) earned the win after tossing a clean 2/3 of an inning in relief with a strikeout.

Next: Friday at Clearwater (Phillies), 6:30 p.m.
