INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 37-42) was swept by Iowa (Cubs) in a doubleheader. Indy was held to four hits in a 2-1 loss in the opener. 3B Tucupita Marcano (.240) went 2 for 4 from the leadoff spot. LF Anthony Alford (.294) went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. CF Jared Oliva (.200) went 1 for 3 with an RBI and his third stolen base. RHP Steven Wright (4-6, 6.63) gave up two runs on four hits in 4.1 innings.
2B Michael Chavis (.273) went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs in the second game, a 6-4 Iowa win. LF Fabricio Macias (.306) went 2 for 4 with a run scored. 3B Hunter Owen (.225) and SS T.J. Rivera (.249) each went 2 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Tanner Anderson (1.29) started and pitched three scoreless innings, giving up two hits. RHP Hunter Stratton (0-1, 7.71) gave up two runs on two hits and recorded one out, taking the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 43-34) scored three in the ninth to beat Akron (Indians), 8-5. RF Jack Suwinski (.318) went 4 for 5 with two doubles, including one to drive in a run in the ninth. C Carter Bins (.25) went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a walk. 3B Josh Bissonette (.227) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. SS Connor Kaiser (.227) also went 2 for 4 with an RBI. LHP Omar Cruz (3.75) started and gave up three runs, two earned, in six innings. He fanned four. RHP Shea Murray (4-0, 3.26) recorded the last five outs to pick up the win.

GREENSBORO (High A, 50-30) beat Hickory (Rangers), 6-2. 2B Nick Gonzales (.269) went 2 for 4 with a double and a two-run home run, his seventh. DH Aaron Shackelford (.215) went 1 for 3 and also hit a two-run shot, his 18th. RHP Santiago Florez (1-1, 5.14) started and went five innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits and one walk. He struck out seven. CF Matthew Fraizer was promoted to Altoona.
