INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 49-53) scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to beat Iowa (Cubs), 4-3. CF Jared Oliva (.257) went 2 for 4, stole his seventh base and had the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth. LF Bligh Madris (.253) went 2 for 5, doubled and hit his eighth home run. RF Ka’ai Tom (.222) went 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. SS Ethan Paul (.226) was 1 for 2 with two walks and a run scored. RHP Miguel Yajure (3.34) gave up two runs, one earned, on three hits in four innings. He struck out three and walked none. RHP Cody Ponce (1-4, 4.72) worked two scoreless innings to get the win. RHP Tyler Bashlor (2.54) pitched a scoreless ninth for his fifth save.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 52-48) was knocked around by Akron (Indians), 11-2. RF Cal Mitchell (.289) went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. CF Matthew Fraizer (.321) was 2 for 4 with a run scored. SS Oneil Cruz (.294) went 2 for 4 and stole his 13th base. LHP Trey McGough (4-5, 4.04) was tagged for five runs on eight hits and two walks in two innings. RHP Steven Jennings (6.59) gave up five runs in three innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 65-38) beat Hudson Valley (Yankees), 9-7, on a walk-off grand slam by 2B Nick Gonzales (.303). It was the second home run of the game for Gonzales, running his season total to 16. He went 3 for 5 with three runs scored and seven RBIs. 1b Will Matthiessen (.224) went 1 for 3 with his 12th home run. SS Liover Peguero (.267) went 1 for 3 with two walks, three runs scored and a double. RHP Santiago Florez (7.36) started and gave up five runs on 10 hits, including four homers, in five innings. RHP Enmanuel Mejia (1-0, 1.93) earned the win, giving up two runs in the top of the ninth to set up Gonzales’ heroics.

BRADENTON (Low A, 63-38) clobbered Tampa (Yankees), 19-7. RF Hudson Head (.209) went 2 for 6 and hit his 14th and 15th home runs. DH Dariel Lopez (.255) went 4 for 5 with his eighth home run, a grand slam. 1B Endy Rodriguez (.289) went 3 for 4 with his 11th home run, three RBIs and four runs scored. CF Jase Bowen (.229) went 3 for 5 and blasted his 14th long ball. LF Jack Herman (.286) was 1 for 5 with his 10th home run, a three-run shot. RHP Nick Garcia (4.23) started and went four innings, giving up one run on four hits with four strikeouts. RHP Alex Roth (1-0, 3.71) gave up three runs on five hits in 2.1 innings but earned the win.
