INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 42-45) fell to St. Paul (Twins), 7-5. 2B Michael Chavis (.273) went 1 for 4 and hit his 10th home run. 3B Hunter Owen (.238) went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored. C Taylor Davis (.271) was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. 1B Phillip Evans (.423) was 1 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored. LF Tucupita Marcano (.237) went 1 for 4 with a walk and an RBI. RHP Steven Wright (4-7, 6.68) gave up six runs, three earned, in seven hits and three walks in four innings. RHP Shelby Miller (4.24) and LHP Joe Jacques (4.54) each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 46-40) was stomped by Erie (Tigers), 9-3. LF Cal Mitchell (.272) went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI. RF Jack Suwinski (.280) and 1B Mason Martin (.256) each went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored. 3B Josh Bissonette (.212) went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. LHP Trey McGough (3-3, 3.84) gave up three runs, two earned, on four hits in four innings.

GREENSBORO (High A, 56-32) defeated Winston-Salem (White Sox), 4-1. RHP Quinn Priester (5-3, 2.80) had a big night, throwing seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts. He pitched an immaculate inning in the sixth, striking out the side on nine pitches. Four were called strikes, three were swinging strikes and two were foul balls. He allowed six hits and walked two. 2B Nick Gonzales (.285) went 4 for 5 with a triple and a run scored. CF Jonah Davis (.087) went 1 for 4 and hit his first home run. 3B Jared Triolo (.303) was 2 for 4. LF Lolo Sanchez (.233) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. RHP Garrett Leonard (5.94) gave up one run on one hit in two innings to earn his first save.

BRADENTON (Low A, 52-33) was routed by Fort Myers (Twins), 9-1. RHP Miguel Yajure (0-1, 6.75), pitching on a rehab assignment as he recovers from a forearm injury, allowed four runs, three earned, on four hits, including a home run, and a walk in 2.1 innings. He fanned four. LHP Adrian Florencio (2.43) pitched three scoreless innings of relief. F Jack Herman (.252) went 3 for 4 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored. DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.305) was 1 for 4 with a double. CF Jase Bowen (.216) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader, but one of the games was postponed by rain. Due to Tropical Storm Fred, Saturday’s game was bumped up to noon and Sunday’s game was postponed.
