Pirates farm report for April 3, 2025: Bubba Chandler's scoreless outing boosts Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 1-3) split a doubleheader with Iowa (Cubs).
In the first game, a 7-6 Indianapolis win, C Henry Davis (.100) scored the winning run on a one-out grounder to third by PH Malcom Nunez (.182) in the bottom of the eighth. RHP Ryder Ryan pitched a scoreless top of the eighth to earn the win. RHP Bubba Chandler (0.00) started and pitched 2 ⅔ scoreless innings, allowing one hit and three walks with four strikeouts. RHP Drake Fellows (10.13) allowed three runs on four hits in 2⅔ innings and RHP Yohan Ramirez (27.00) got two outs and gave up two runs on two hits. DH DJ Stewart (.500) hit a three-run homer. RF Nick Solak (.333) and LF Matt Gorski (.273) hit solo shots. 2B Nick Yorke (.333) went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles.
In the second game, a 6-1 Indianapolis loss, RHP Braxton Ashcraft (5.40) started and gave up two runs on eight hits in five innings. He struck out five. RHP JC Flowers (18.00) was touched up for three runs, two earned, on two hits in the sixth inning. Indianapolis was held to two hits. Gorski went 1 for 3 with a double and Yorke went 1 for 3 with an RBI.
