Pirates farm report for April 17, 2025: Nick Solak, Ji Hwan Bae key Indy comeback

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 6-8) came back from a 6-2 deficit to beat Toledo (Tigers), 7-6. RF Nick Solak (.343) went 3 for 5 with an RBI double, an RBI single and scored a run. LF Ji Hwan Bae (.235) went 3 for 4 with a bunt single, a pair of doubles, a walk, a stolen base and four runs scored. 3B Malcolm Nunez (.283) was 1 for 4 with a sac fly and an RBI double. DH Darick Hall (.237) and CF Matt Gorski (.250) each smacked an RBI double. RHP Thomas Harrington (1.80) started and went three innings, gave up one run on three hits, walked two and struck out four. RHP Drake Fellows (9.39) surrendered five runs on four hits, walked two and struck out two in 1⅔ innings. LHP Randy Labaut (1-0, 1.17) struck out five, walked one and gave up a hit in 2⅓ innings and RHP Eddy Yean (5.68) gave up one hit and struck out one for a two-inning save.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 5-7) defeated Somerset (Yankees), 6-4. RHP Wilber Dotel (3.46) started and gave up four runs on four hits, including two home runs, walked a pair and struck out seven. LHP Jaden Woods (2-1, 8.44) struck out three, walked one and gave up a hit in 1⅔ innings to get the win. SS Jack Brannigan (.243) went 1 for 3 with a two-run single, CF Mitch Jebb (.206) was 2 for 3 with two singles, two RBIs and scored two runs and 2B Termarr Johnson went 0 for 4 with a pair of walks and came around to score twice. RF Sammy Siani (.163) smacked an RBI double and 3B Brenden Dixon (.216) hit two singles and scored a run. RHP Cam Sanders (0.00) struck out two in a scoreless ninth for the save.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 8-4) lost 8-6 to Jersey Shore (Phillies) in 10 innings. SS Keiner Delgado (.364) went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. LF Esmerlyn Valdez (.385) went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. 3B Duce Gourson (.273) went 1 for 4 with his eighth and ninth stolen bases and two runs scored. RHP Garrett McMillan (1.80) started and went four innings, giving up two runs on four hits with five strikeouts. LHP Connor Oliver (5.59) pitched three scoreless innings, giving up one hit. LHP Julian Bosnic (0-1, 8.44) got two outs and gave up three runs, two earned, on one hit and three walks to take the loss.

LF Camden Janik (.250) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. DH Joel Mendez (.231) went 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored. 3B Yordany De Los Santos (.262) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored. RHP Carlos Castillo (3.18) started and gave up two runs on two hits and two walks in four innings. He struck out three. RHP Jose Garces (1-0, 4.50) worked a scoreless fifth to earn the win. RHP Jake Shirk (2.35) worked two perfect innings for his first save.
