The Pittsburgh Pirates and AT&T Sports Networks on Friday announced a multi-year extension of their television rights deal that will continue to make AT&T SportsNet the regional television home for the Pirates.

The network will televise at least 150 live Pirates game, along with pre- and post-game coverage and team-related shows. Terms of the extension were not disclosed.

“We are very excited to extend our long-standing partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates, which dates back to 1986,” AT&T Sports Networks president Patrick Crumb said in a statement. “AT&T SportsNet will continue to bring Pirates fans high-quality productions and exclusive coverage of their favorite team for years to come.”

Pirates president Frank Coonelly said in a statement that AT&T SportsNet will broadcast “nearly all” of the Pirates’ spring-training games and that all 162 of their regular-season games will be broadcast either on the regional network or by a national television partner.

“In this rapidly evolving media landscape, the Pirates are extremely pleased to continue our long-standing partnership with AT&T SportsNet,” Coonelly said. “It was critically important for us to continue to increase the reach and penetration of Pirates Baseball throughout our region. … Working closely with the outstanding team at AT&T SportsNet, we are excited to ensure that our games are produced and distributed in the manner that our fans demand.”
