Pittsburgh Pirates bench coach Don Kelly and his wife Carrie volunteered with Pirates Charities and Silver Star Meats to distribute meals to the city’s homeless Friday.

More than 500 boxed meals were scheduled to be distributed by the Kellys and staff members from Pirates Charities at Light of Life Rescue Mission on the North Side.

Pirates Charities and Silver Star Meats teamed up for the third time to donate for a food distribution, after providing lunches last month at the Neighborhood Resilience Project and West Penn Hospital.
