Penn-Trafford graduate Dan Obremski finished strong in his first PGA Tour LatinoAmerica event Sunday.

The Irwin native shot 3-under-par 69 during the final round of Buenaventura Classic in Rio Hato, Panama and finished the four-round event at 2-under 286, which tied him for 16th.

Juan Alvarez won the event by shooting a 14-under 274. Obremski began the final round 23rd. He had five birdies and two bogeys during his final round and was 4-under over his final 11 holes.

“I’m excited about my new challenge,” Obremski said. “I get to see a different part of the world and get to compete against some great golfers. It’s one step closer for me.”

Obremski made money in numerous Mini Tour events in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina in 2018. He also competed in the Frank Fuhrer Invitational in June at the Pittsburgh Field Club.

The PGA Tour LatinoAmerica resumes April 11 in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the Molino Canuelas Championship.
