Irwin native and Penn-Trafford graduate Dan Obremski played baseball in high school. He was an outstanding second baseman for Ron Evans’ squad.

But Obremski is playing professional golf and doubles in golf are not good for the score.

Too many doubles early in Round 1 at Cordoba Golf Club in Argentina cost him, and he missed the cut in his third PGA Tour LatinoAmerica event.

He shot a 5-over 76 during Round 1 and 2-over 73 during Round 2 to finish with a 7-over 149.

His next event begins Thursday as play shifts to the Puerto Plata Open in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

This is the first season Obremski is playing the PGA Tour LatinoAmerica. He had a successful season in the Mini Tour around Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina in 2018.
