Penn State’s 2026 football schedule revealed, starts with Marshall

The Matt Campbell era at Penn State kicks off Sept. 5 at Beaver Stadium when the Nittany Lions face Marshall.

After a road trip to Temple on Sept. 12 and another home game versus Buffalo on Sept. 19, the schedule will gets serious for Campbell, his assistant coaches and the Penn State players.

It will be Big Ten season.

The Lions’ full conference schedule was released on the Big Ten Network on Tuesday night.

PSU has five conference home games and four away games.

National champion Indiana, longtime nemesis Ohio State and annual national title contender Oregon are not on the Lions’ schedule.

Penn State’s marquee home game is a matchup with USC.

The Lions face Michigan in Ann Arbor and travel to Seattle for a meeting with Washington.

PSU opens its Big Ten season versus Wisconsin on Sept. 26 at Beaver Stadium.

Other highlights:

• Penn State will visit the Wolverines on Oct. 17.

• The Lions will host the Trojans on Oct. 10.

• PSU-Washington is Nov. 7.

• Big Ten teams will only have one bye week in 2026.

Times and TV coverage will be announced later this year.
