The Pittsburgh Penguins did not have a selection in the first round of the NHL’s entry draft Friday.

That pick (No. 26 overall) was sent to the Minnesota Wild in February 2020 as part of the trade that brought forward Jason Zucker to Pittsburgh.

They are scheduled to have five picks in the second day of the draft Saturday:

Second round: No. 58 overall

Fifth round: No. 154 overall

Seventh round: No. 194 overall (from Anaheim), No. 215 overall (from Washington), No. 218 overall

The 194th overall selection was acquired in a 2019 trade that sent defenseman Erik Gudbranson to the Anaheim Ducks. The 215th overall selection was acquired in 2020 in a trade that sent a seventh-round pick in that year’s entry draft to the Washington Capitals.
