The season opener for the Pittsburgh Passion women’s semi-pro football team is less than a month away.

The team kicks off its 17th campaign April 6 against the Cleveland Fusion at West Allegheny’s Joe P. DeMichela Stadium.

A road game against longstanding rival D.C. Divas follows on April 13.

The Passion also play home games against Grand Rapids (April 27), Baltimore (May 4) and D.C. Divas (May 18).

Pittsburgh again is a member of the Women’s Football Alliance. The Passion finished 2018 with a 7-2 record. They fell to eventual WFA champion Boston in the semifinals of the National Conference playoffs.
