The Pittsburgh Passion women’s football team renews its rivalry with the D.C. Divas on Saturday.

A number of the games in the series dating back more than a decade have been decided by one score.

Kickoff at the home of the Divas is set for 6 p.m.

The Passion kicked of their season last Saturday with a 26-20 home victory over the Cleveland Fusion.

It is the Divas’ season opener. The team plays in the Division I National Conference of the Women’s Football Alliance.

Pittsburgh is one of eight teams in the Northeast Region of WFA Division II’s National Conference.

The Passion and Divas split last year’s regular-season series. Pittsburgh won the first meeting, played at home, 32-27, while the Divas gained a measure of revenge a couple of weeks later with a 21-13 victory.

It was Pittsburgh’s only regular-season loss of 2018.

After Saturday’s game, the teams will go their separate ways until the rematch in Pittsburgh on May 18.

The Passion hope to build on momentum gained from last week’s triumph.

Kia Foster broke a 20-20 tie with the game-deciding 2-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Angela Baker threw for 240 yards and a touchdown against the Fusion, and she rushed for two additional scores.

Krystal Cozzo caught six passes for 118 yards.

Defensively, Diamond Rodriguez tallied a team-best nine tackles and added a sack.
