Devin Gee continued his sizzling summer on the golf course.

The head professional at storied Oakmont Country Club downed five opponents to capture the three-day Tri-State PGA OMEGA Match Play Championship at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg.

Gee, who earlier this season won the Tri-State Open, held off Sharon’s Denny Dolci in the title match, 1 up.

Justin Collins and Jason Robinson also reached the semifinals, the latter falling to Geem 5 and 4.

Victories for Gee also came against Dennis Munko (3 and 2), Brett Carman (5 and 4) and Kevin Shields (1 up). Gee tied Tyler McElroy for second in the stroke-play qualifier with a 1-over-par 73. John Aber was the medalist with a 72.

Gee came into the event second on the Tri-State PGA points list, just behind Shields. Gee has not finished outside of the top 10 in seven of eight events this year, including five top 5s.

He was second at the Pittsburgh Open and third at the Falling Rock Classic.

Dolci edged past Oakmont’s Jack Ramsett, 2 and 1, to reach the final.
