Things are looking up again for JJ Matijevic.

The power hitter was promoted to the Houston Astros for the second time this season from Triple-A Sugar Land.

The Astros’ No. 30-ranked prospect out of Norwin has hit 12 home runs and driven in 35 runs this season.

The first baseman was recalled when Jeremy Pena was placed on the 10-day injured list.

Matijevic, 26, was called up in April and appeared in five games, going hitless in five at-bats.

The fifth-year minor-leaguer, who bats from the left side but throws right-handed, is slashing .313/.373/.640 with 47 hits and 27 runs scored in 39 games this season with Sugar Land.

He has four homers in June, including a two-homer game against Las Vegas. Fans have come to love his bat flip.

In his last three games, Matijevic is 7 for 14 with three doubles, a triple, two homers and four RBIs.
